Hello! If you’re looking for the latest skkatter DJ mix I’ve put it up in the music section, you’ll find all the other mixes I’ve done there too, go download them all!!
Just some quick gig news, on Thursday CJ Fitz and Dave Fields are playing at Electric City in Traffic. I’d a great time at Alexander Robotnick last week, but I found his actual set wasn’t the best. Next time he’s over they should get him to do a 100% Italo-disco set all night! They’d need to install a glitter ball for that though.
On Friday Hospital continues it’s world domination of Friday nights, these guys must be doing something right ’cause they’re getting a great crowd down each time.
Saturday sees one of my favourite Irish DJs play D1 in Traffic, the wonky house master himself, Toirse.
Sunday is turning out to be the busiest day of all, during the day now you’ve got the Sunday Salad barbeque down at McGruder’s beer garden on Thomas Street. This week such stars as Barry Redsetta and Simon Conway will be playing there. And later on that night sees the official launch of Gravy, the new Sunday night club at Traffic which is being run by professional mangler Simon F and his trainee mangler Jamie Clarke. They’re going to have both floors open and there’ll be sets from Calvin James, Mark Alton, Philly, Miller Scottish Tom and the Famous Eno (who’s flying over from London especially for it). It’s free in before 11pm and 8 Euro in afterwards.
But enough of all this boring Dublin talk. The real action this weekend is happening way up North West in Co. Leitrim! Yes indeedy, the Leechrum festival, which started last year is happening again except this time it’s a lot bigger (and probably better) with extra stages and things. Full info is available on their website: www.leechrum.com. D1 Records have a stage there on Sunday night which I’ll be playing at (if I manage to organise a lift up that us!). Here’s the D1 stage lineup:
- Five Green Circle (live)
- Rob Rowland (live)
- Ross Canoe [Real Name]
- Chris Rooney
- Eamonn Doyle
- Scott Logan
- skkatter
- Eamonn Doyle and Rob Rowland (live, together, romantic!)
- Toirse
Us lot start playing music at 8pm on Sunday night and we don’t stop until 8am on Monday morning so drop by and say hello! I might even show you around my tent if you’re good and take your shoes off outside the door.
