Thursday at Electric City
Jay Galligan returns to headline EC, will it be techno, will it be electro? Who knows? His sets down at his own Test club (co-run with Richard Brophy, they’re still in the process of finding a new venue for it) were comprised of equal amounts of both so you’ll just have to head in to find out! Support comes from new kid on the block Riccardo Veglianti, apparently we can expect a “wide range of electro, minimal and tougher tracks”, a night for all music genres!
Friday: Lunar Disko presents Bunker/Crème Labelnight at Crawdaddy
Those Lunar Disko kids are back again and this time they’re bringing over half of Holland to play in Crawdaddy this Friday night. DJ TLR will be manning the decks but bringing the live electronix action will be a tag team combination of Orgue Electronique and Legowelt who play together as “The Chicago Shags”. According to the bio “This is music Larry Heard would have made if he had joined the Chicago street gangs instead of the Church choir”. I don’t think I could describe it better myself!
Saturday: Bass Pressure #2
I’d never heard of Bass pressure #1 but I just got a random text from an unknown number to my mobile yesterday informing me of this gig that’s happening in Chaplin’s Pub on Hawkin’s St this Saturday. Headlining will be “Miss Acrea, one of the best female techno DJ from Poland” (Hmmmm, Poland you say……….) with support from DJ Wary. The music gets started at 9pm and it’s only a fiver in! (And the place is bound to be full of Polish girls, what more could you want!?)
