I bought a load of records recently when Simon "EC" Conway came over to visit, we spent about five hours in Spacehall alone! That place is amazing.

Currently listening to: The new Jega album "Variance". An interesting bit of history behind this, unfinished versions of some of the tracks were leaked back in 2000 and he gave up music for a while to concentrate on digital video animation stuff. Glad he finally got around to releasing it though, full of incredible DSP trickery, Jega always has me going "how the hell did he make *that* sound!?".

Current gear lust: I've love an ARP 2600 but can't afford one (and am worried it would break down a lot), maybe an ARP Odyssey? Or maybe I should stop buying equipment and actually make tracks!? (Don't be silly!)

Current software lust: Metasynth 5 has just been released. A lot of the weirdness in Aphex Twin's "Windowlicker" was done in Metasynth, definitely a unique application!
